Jesus is Greater than Pain.

Writer: Melissa MoretMelissa Moret

Pain is a funny concept. It’s something you cannot see, but brings the symptoms of hurt, agony, and affliction. You might become accustom to hide it because you can’t see it. You can push it so far into your soul that you won’t feel it anymore. It's something easy to forget about over time. Something that does not physically destroy you, but internally kills you. Makes me think how something I cannot see can be the greatest damage to me. Something that I thought was gone can come back in an instant. To repeat the same living cycles of hell. Something that I can’t physically fight, but simply ends me. Again I say, how can something I cannot see bring me to feel hopeless, defeated, and broken. How can something I cannot see hold so much power. How can something I cannot see be dealt with? Well, you can try to superficially remove pain, however it will come back even worse. There’s only One who can break it once and for all. His name is Jesus! We can't physically see Jesus, but we sure do feel Him. Again I say, how can something I cannot see have that amount of power over me. It’s because He is the I AM that I AM. Jesus is greater than every work of darkness. Once Jesus steps into a room, everything that does not align to Him must leave. He gives everything an eviction notice that it must go. So the pain you were enduring vanishes. He is the restorer of all things. The pain you feel cannot withstand the blood that was shed on that cross. That blood shed is powerful enough to heal the brokenhearted and bind up every wound. Pain will never overcome Jesus. Jesus will always have the victory. The bible says, “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us”. You are more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus. God loves you too much for you to stay in pain that is tormenting you day by day. The pain of your past or the pain from others, Jesus is ready to take it all off of you. Where do you begin this healing process? The bible says in, 1 Peter 5:7, "Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you". The answer is to cast your care unto Jesus. You need to be able to surrender that weight. You need to be able to lay it at the feet of Jesus. I mean all of it. In the moment, it might feel as a challenge and a dread reliving those moments in your head. But let me tell you, at the end, none of that will matter anymore because Jesus is there to take away your burdens. Why wait any longer? Your time has come to be made free, to be made whole, and to be made new. Jesus is greater than your pain. And yes cannot physically see Him now, but He promised us one day we will. To a place where there will be no more tears or fears. Where we no longer remember the years of pain. But where we will be in eternity with the Father. Forever and ever.
